Mr. Goto's article published in the "Zaikai Nippon"

- abduction and confinement is a criminal act and is a grave violation of human rights -

Mr. Toru Goto's article was published in the March, 2010 issue of the monthly magazine "Zaikai Nippon" (Financial World Japan). It featured Mr. Goto's case in a special report entitled "Abduction exists in Japan, not only in North Korea!! The terror of being confined for 12 years and 5 months – if he died there, it would be bad for his family!"

"Zaikai Nippon" is an influential magazine with 30,000 issues in circulation, read by leaders of the society such as civil servants and the well-off in the financial world. The March issue will be on sale from Feb. 1 in major bookstores, and will be available in major libraries.

The article states that abduction and confinement has been carried out not only by North Korea, but also by the Japanese, and summarizes Mr. Goto's confinement case that lasted 12 years and 5 months. It is enough to read the article to see the kind of inhumane treatment he received, neglecting basic human rights and freedom of faith. The article also points out the fact that the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office dropped the criminal suit against Shun Miyamura (President of a company) and Yasutomo Matsunaga (the Japanese Alliance Christian Council, Niizu Good News Christian Church Pastor ) who were directly involved in Mr. Goto's confinement case, was unjust.
