Appealing to the public about the abduction and confinement problem during the Snow Festival in Sapporo giving out leaflets and asking for signatures; good response from the public- Feb. 6, 11 (Sapporo)

On Feb. 6 and 11, the "Hokkaido Victims Group of Abduction, Confinement and Forced Disavowal" appealed to the public in front of the Mitsukoshi Department in Sapporo City where the Snow Festival was being held.

On what turned out to be the coldest day of this winter on the 6th, more than 10 members distributed fliers and collected signatures, while representatives such as Mr. Toshiaki Isetani, the 1st District Chairman of the Abduction and Confinement Committee, stood in front of an advertising van and a banner specially made for this occasion.

There was substantial response from those passing by, and they even received word of encouragement from a policeman.

The second campaign was held on the 11th, which was the last day of the Snow Festival. It was a warmer day, and as soon as they started, a middle-aged man came over and started listening intently to the cause. They were able to collect 40 signatures in a very short amount of time on this day.
